Our Opinion
The Fury is designed for french-style hardcore speedriding. That’s why it’s only available in small sizes. The Fury has a lot of roll and reacts very quickly on the brakes. You can make very snappy barrel rolls with it. It is also the Level Wing with the biggest range. It can fly steep, but can also glide surprisingly well. It’s easy to stay on the ground and ride with it. It is fast, but probably not quite as fast as a Mirage 2 RS, but faster than a Spitfire. The Fury has diagonal cells, which make it more heavy, so you can’t ride as slow as on a Spitfire. But it converts speed better into lift than a Spitfire. For some reason it is a little collapsy when flown with open trimmers. They open quickly without turning away do. You can also footlaunch on it, but compared with an RS2 or R3 you need more speed to get airborn in the same size.
Advantages
- Very quick barrel rolls
- Big range between dive and glide
- Very reactive to toggle and weightshift inputs
- Fast
Good to know
- heavy construction, not ideal for riding very slow
- a little collapsy with trims open (not dangerous, just scarry)
- very rolly, only for advanced pilots
