Flare Prop
The Prop is the new Paramotor wing from Flare. It’s the 3rd flying discipline Flare is about to revolutionize since it makes flying close to the ground a lot easier and safer. As always not all pilots want to fly mostly proxy and just want to chill and glide to enjoy the views, for those pilots the Prop is the wrong wing. The Prop has the same risers system as the Moustache has. At first it looks not so different to a Moustache. But when you take a closer look, you can see everything is different. The only similiar thing to the Moustache is the Outline of the wing. Anything else has changed. The Prop has a full Shark Nose, different rods, different attachment, different airfoil, different lines, wingtip steering, different fabric, bigger openings on the leading edge….and a different design on it:-) All of this leads to a huge speedrange; the Prop 16 offers the same max speed as a Moustache one 13, but at the same time it has the lowest stallspeed of any parakite out there. This low stallspeed is super helpfull for flying paramotor. You take off earlier and you have to run less at landing. It’s a big difference to a Moustache one! The Stallspeed is that low, that you can slow down the landing as much as you can with a normal wing, it’s pretty amazing!
The Prop also works well for soaring, it’s as stable and safe as a moustache. For soaring i would recommend to make the brakes 2 knots longer and also move up the tipsteering Line 2 knots. Since the Prop inflates very quick, it shoots in strong wind when reverse launching. I would recommend to make cobra with it in strong wind.
Since the Prop has a loadtest up to 160kg we also use it for flying tandem. The low stallspeed really helps for take off and landings. For flying tandem on Skis the 18 and 21 are great, for soaring the 24 and the 28 are better. For footlaunching tandems i recommend the 21 or the 24, but that only works with a passenger that runs well! Don’t push the limits too much when flying, it’s not load test for 200kg+…
