Niviuk Drifter 2 Review – Our Opinion

The Drifter 2 will be the new Comp and XC harness from Niviuk. If you are flying 2-Liners, we can recommend you a “heavier” comp harness, there is a reason why most comp and XC pilots are flying such a heavy harness. They are more dampened and make you feel safer. It simply feels better flying with such harnesses. The Drifter 2 is no exception. It’s aerodynamically optimized and closed, like the submarine, but it doesn’t fully inflate like the submarine. The Drifter 2 can still be easily adjusted like a normal harness, with strings to shorten or extend your pod, which is no longer possible in a submarine, because the length of the pod is given. You also need to close the pod with a zipper once you are airborn on the Drifter 2. Niviuk’s Team pilots say that performance wise it’s very close to a submarine.
