Our Opinion

When it comes to reserves, size matters. But at the end it’s the projected area that matters, same as for paragliders. Gin found a way to have a better ratio from flat to projected area on reserves, thats why they can make such a small parachute and can still reach normal sink speeds. The Yeti UL is not on the limit, Gin claims they could even add more weight and still make the certification.

We strongly recommend to be 15-20kg below the maximum weight rating on a reserve. It’s fun flying paragliders at the top of the weight range, but scary and stupid with reserves.
