Our Opinion – Niviuk Roamer 2 P Review
We have more then 10 string of this type here for you to try. So we know them very well. The new Roamer 2 P has longer leg support and higher back support than the first version. It’s completly new harness and only has the low weight in common with the old one. It’s surprisingly comfortable for its weight, even when you are flying with heavy skis. You can’t adjust anything, except for the length of the elastic shoulder straps, which is quite nice you can adjust these! The seating position is rather upright, we think it just about how we like it. It doesn’t seem to hurt down there when taking off and you can sit down effortless. The legs are stiched and hold together, this restricts weights shifting a bit.
The IKS (integrated konnection system) works great, even if you decide to unclip the wing each time, it’s not too much of a hassle to connect it.
The legs are supported with a Nitinol wire in there. So even if you pack it shit, they want stay bent. Niviuk used a durable fabric, it doesn’t have any super light weight fabric anywhere.
We think this is one of the best options for a light weight mountaineering harness that is still very comfortable. For speedriding and speedflying we recommend the Skywalk Core, this let’s you weight-shift better and also doesn’t hurt down there when riding.
